The “Base of the Pyramid” (BoP), as are often depicted these low-income markets are nevertheless a great source of business opportunities and innovation.
Understanding the preferences of lower-income consumers and imagining new business models that will be able to both include the next billion consumers and integrate local capabilities are one the greatest challenges of the next decades for any companies.
Two one-week sessions: Location to de defined, Bangalore, India (May) and Cape Town, South Africa (October)

The goal of the program is to:
- inspire the next generation of global business leaders with the next best practices,
- provide them with concrete tools to implement strategies,
- open new markets,
- and foster creativity, sustainability and innovation in their organizations.
Credits gained upon successful completion of this 2-module Advanced Certificate may be used towards the HEC Paris Executive MBA. The EMBA Major in Management in Reinventing Business for Emerging Markets can be taken as a specialization within the HEC Executive MBA. The EMBA requires only 60 days out of the office over a 17-month period.
