  GLOBAL SENIOR MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Global Senior Management Program
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and IE Business School have joined forces to create a uniquely applicable program for global leaders: Global Senior Management Program (GSMP).

Business leaders have to develop a dynamic strategic vision to navigate the challenges of globalization. Successful implementation of strategic vision requires highly refined leadership skills and crossover management abilities. The Global Senior Management Program provides top directors with the opportunity to hone these skills through the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge with renowned business leaders, scholars and professionals in a highly interactive context.

- A program based in lasting learning experiences rather than absorbing content.
- A program that offers the combined know how of two of the world's best executive development faculties.
- A program which adapts itself to the specific needs of the participants thanks to the role of the "Program orchestrator" and the Learning Partners methodology.
- Enhance participants' current view of the global business world by drawing on international perspectives in order to better forecast future trends.
- Update and improve top management skills required to develop innovative strategies and implement change in global organizations.
- Review the latest business concepts and practices related to strategy, finance, operations, marketing, and human capital.
- Develop personal and professional skills.
- Provide an international networking platform among participants, faculty, and visiting business leaders

The program is aimed at members of the Managing Committee and Administrative Councils, presidents, company owners, managing directors, vice presidents, negotiations directors, country managers and other senior managers, whose responsibilities are strategic affairs within their companies, and whose focus is clearly international.

Participants Origin: International

Participants' age usually ranges from 38 to 50

A Special Joint
Executive Education Model

The GSMP combines the strength of two of Europe and America's leading business schools. By joining forces in the first senior management program of its kind in Europe, the schools bring a rich blend of perspectives and insights that make for a superlative understanding of current and upcoming trends, changes and challenges in global industries.

This joint program provides a platform for senior managers to build on the collective experience and knowledge of participants and professors. This interactive learning model offers a highly-charged environment for participants.

The GSMP faculty has pooled resources to offer innovative management practices in the global business environment. The approach utilized in the program develops the vision, skills and management capabilities required to meet the challenges facing business organizations both today and in the future. The program has been designed to drive participants beyond simply acquiring new business knowledge and skills.

The program will cover key aspects involving the balance of professional and personal life. The ability to achieve this balance and the focus it allows is a critical advantage for senior managers in the current fast paced environment of global industries. In addition, each executive is asked to bring with them a current and significant business challenge. In work groups, participants apply knowledge acquired from the courses to their own challenges and help their colleagues work through their challenges. Other valuable takeaways include a new network, tools and competencies that provide additional support and confidence to face imminent challenges as participants continue to grow in their careers.
The GSMP has been designed to balance the busy schedule of a top manager while maximizing the learning process of a comprehensive management program. In order to achieve this objective, the program has been divided into 2 separate residential modules.

It starts on Sunday 18th May and it ends on Friday 20th June 2014, but bear in mind that it combines both residential periods (1 in Chicago and another one in Madrid) with an on-line period, therefore you would only be away from your office for 2 weeks (one in June and one in July).

MODULE 1
In class: Sunday, May 18 to Friday, May 23, 2014
University of Chicago GSB Campus, Chicago, USA

INTERSESSION - "Leadership assessment"
On-line: Monday, May 26 to Friday, June 13, 2014

MODULE 2
In class: Sunday, June 15 to Friday June 20, 2014
IE Business School Campus, Madrid, SPAIN

During the Intersession Period, faculty will perform an individual "leadership assessment" to give each participant a personalized feedback in order to maximize their strongest leadership capabilities and to identify gaps that might be covered by their team.

The intersession period also allows participants to maintain contact with faculty and peers and to adjust the program contents to their particular needs, since they have the chance to request more information and discuss as much as they want with the faculty any of the topics covered during the first module.
